Butte Cobras top draft pick from the 2022 NA3HL Draft has signed on for the 2022-23 season. Taken with the 13th overall pick, Weston Villers joins a veteran Cobras squad with aspirations of winning a Frontier Division title.
The 18-year old Villers comes to the Cobras after a highly successful senior season with Cheyenne Mountain High School in Colorado Springs. The Red-Tailed Hawks captured the 2022 Colorado Class AAAA state title in March. Vickers scored a goal along with 16 assists in 19 games with Cheyenne Mountain.
“I was impressed with Weston’s play out at the Capstone Invitational in Edina,” commented head coach Kirk Golden. “He showed great skating ability and great poise with the puck. We are excited to add Villers to the Cobras lineup!”
