Gillette Wild (9-5-1-1) rolled into Butte for a weekend series and ended leaving with four points, good enough for third place in the NA3HL Frontier Division.
Randy Yeakley started the series off scoring the opening goal Friday night in a game that was competitive throughout. Gillette ended up taking a 2-1 lead into intermission on goals from Issac Young and Will Blake.
Issac Young added a second tally early in the second before Cory Kane pulled the Cobras back with his sixth of the season. Like the first, Gillette would score twice late in the period to take a 5-2 advantage.

Kane scored another early in the third, but less than a minute later Nicolas Delli Bovi restored the three-goal lead for the Wild. An issue with the ice became too much to overcome and forced the game to be suspended with 16:20 remaining on the clock.
The teams took the ice on Saturday afternoon to finish their game. Randy Bagley scored his first Cobras goal at 9:42 to make the score 6-4, which ended up being the final.
Liam Scott stopped 39 shots in victory while Mason Giodano made 42 saves in a losing effort.
After a short break the teams took the ice once again to play the regularly scheduled game. Butte would put a season-high 47 shots on net, but the game belonged to the visitors who won 8-2.
Bagley and Kyler Garsjo scored for the Cobras while Tristan Baker, Declan Young and Issac Young all chipped in with two goals and assist for GIllette.
The Cobras (1-15-1-0) return to action at the Butte Community Ice Center on Friday hosting the Helena Bighorns (3-9-0-0).
