The NA3HL held their annual draft on April 19 with 138 players selected over four rounds. Butte Cobras selected three players before trading their fourth pick to the Mid-Cities Stars in exchange for defenseman Joshua Field. An 18-year old, Field split time last season in the NA3HL and the Texas Jr. Brahmas 18U.
With their first pick in the draft Butte selected forward Bryce Bethard of Rocky Mountain RoughRiders 18U AAA. Originally from Anchorage, Alaska Bethard has played the past two seasons with the RoughRiders tallying 43 points in 85 games played.
Kansas City Knights blueliner Jayden Harvey was taken in the second round. Just a freshman, Hervey played in all 22 high school games in 2022-23 scoring four goals.
In the third round the Cobras added another promising blueline prosepect in Charlis Tonle of Mansfield, Texas. The 16-year old is a product of the Texas Tigers 16U AA program.
