Cobras drop game in Helena

Isaac Ellingson needed just :36 from the opening puck drop the give the Helena Bighorns (6-9-0-0) a lead, one which they did not give up in their 6-1 victory over the visiting Butte Cobras.

Andrew MacCallum netted a pair for the host who won their fourth of their past five games. Aaron Stone, Corey Miscovich and Gavyn Galloway also scored for Helena.

Trailing 4-0 after two periods, the Cobras came out in the final frame ready to battle and were rewarded at 2:13 when Helena native Tamer Billman scored his second of the season.

Newly acquired Jonah Gilbert earned his first point in a Cobras uniform assisting on the goal. They 17-year old was added to the Butter roster in a trade with the Atlanta Capitals on December 12.

Butte (3-17-1-0) will play their final game before the holiday break this Friday hosting the Missoula Jr. Bruins (10-6-2-0). The Cobras defeated Missoula twice last week, but the Bruins bounced back defeating Helena on Tuesday.

Butte High School will also be in action this weekend when they host defending state champion Billings Bulls.
