Butte Irish hosted the Sheridan Hawks over the weekend and came away with all four points after sweeping the two-game series. The Irish (5-7-0-0) have now won three straight games and are within four points of fourth place Great Falls Americans.
Goaltender Braylon Rogers was a difference maker the entire weekend, giving up just two goals in two games. Rogers stopped 44 of 45 shots in the Friday opener then made 34 saves in the Saturday night finale, both 4-1 victories by the Irish.
Loghan Weber (one goal, five assists) led all scorers with a six-point weekend. Patrick Crooks continued his scoring pace with three goals and a pair of assists while captain Carson Streich scored twice along with two assists. Kazden Stineff and Brennen Morgan also scored for Butte.
