Things were not looking good near the end of the second period when the Cobras trailed Bozeman 4-1. A late period tally by Bradshaw gave Butte some momentum heading into the locker room down just two goals.
Cory Kane found the back of the net early in the third, but the Icedogs responded quickly to make it 5-3. Kane scored again though at 14:32 and give the Cobras life.
Butte found the equalizer at 18:00 of the third on a top shelf snipe by Nikita Pinimyasov.
In the three-on-three extra session it was Pinimyasov who fed Bradshaw for the game winner at 3:21 earning Butte (1-12-0-0) their first win of the season.
Goaltender Joey Wilson stopped 46 of 51 shots for Butte to earn the win, his first in the NA3HL.
