Butte Irish closed out their 2023-24 campaign on Saturday night hosting the Great Falls Americans. After a hard-fought 60 minutes the teams needed overtime before the visitors found a winning goal. Easton Kennedy scored the game winner at 2:10 of the extra frame for the Americans.
Goaltender Braylon Rogers was excellent in his final game in a Irish uniform. The 20-year old from Billings stopped 45 shots only to be outdone by his opposing netminder Noah Van Herik who made 51 saves for Great Falls.
Veteran players who age-out played their final NA3HL game for Butte included Quinn Nichols, Braylon Rogers, Nick Refine and Adler Hoagland. Other 2003-born players who skated with the team this season include Joshua Horacek, Carter Large, Raphael LeClerc and Noah Williamson.
The team also honored long-time billets Tom and Christine Briscoe. Tom has also been the team photographer for the past three seasons, providing multi-media for nearly every game whether at home or on the road. The couple are relocating to Oklahoma.
On behalf of the entire Butte Irish organization we wish the players moving on good luck in their futures!
