A balanced attack powered the Butte Irish (16-24-1-0) to a weekend sweep of the visiting Yellowstone Quake on February 9-10. The Irish offense overwhelmed the winless Quake 8-2 in the Friday night opener before a 7-2 win the following night.
Brennen Morgan and Loghan Weber led the team offense each scoring three goals while assisting on two others in the two victories.
Kazden Stineff, William Takla, William Clark, Weston Villers, Toby Kerr and Andrew Browe each chipped in with a goal on Friday. Adler Hoagland stopped 16 of 18 shots faced to earn the win in net.
Multiple goal scorers was again the trend on Saturday with Weber scoring a pair. Morgan, Ryan Sikorski, Browe, Sebaquien Chlud and Kerr were the other goalscorers. Goaltender Nicholas Ulyanov made 24 saves to win his third game of the season.
Bozeman Icedogs will be at Butte Community Ice Center this weekend for a pair of NA3HL Frontier Division games.
